Kathleen M. Curry (Sweeney), 57, of Canton, registered nurse, died peacefully surrounded by her family on March 30 following a long courageous battle with liver disease.
Daughter of the late Kathleen and George T. Sweeney of Milton. She is survived by her former husband, William J. Curry of Uxbridge. Devoted mother of Kaitlyn Barry and her husband, Jay, of North Easton, William P. Curry and his wife, Julianne, of Stoughton, and Patrick Curry of Canton. Sister of George M. Sweeney of Colrain, Paul Sweeney of Norwell, Joseph Sweeney of Lafayette, Oregon, Timothy Sweeney of Vancouver, Washington, and the late Noreen Sweeney. Loving and very proud grandmother of Madeline and Emma Barry, and a third granddaughter due this July. Daughter-in-law of the late Edmund and Marcelyn Curry of Stoughton. Also fondly remembered by countless relatives, friends, neighbors, and colleagues at Newton Wellesley Pediatrics.
Kathy will be forever remembered for her bright smile, contagious laugh, uplifting personality, and love for her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, the Christmas season, and sunny days at the beach.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street in Canton, on Friday, April 5, from 4-9 p.m. A funeral mass to celebrate Kathy’s life will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton, followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Canton.
